CGE Global Connections offers a summer program for a 10-week (4 weeks and 6 weeks) Arabic Studies program in Amman, Enrollment can be also for Summer 1 or Summer 2 sessions. Students will study in Jordan and, as needed, receive their transcript from Union University, an accredited university with SACS. This incredible study opportunity is open to all CGE Member institutions as well as non-CGE partnering institutions.
FULL SUMMER SEMESTER (10 weeks): This Arabic studies program consists of two, six-hour courses entitled Contemporary Arabic I & Contemporary Arabic II

DATES: Summer 1 May 26 - August 7, 2019
(Summer 1 arrival dates for students can be accomodated as end of year dates are different across CGE participating universities.)
EXCURSIONS: Weekend study excursions and a mid-term break trip are included!
COST:
- CGE Member School Students: $4,790.00 (10 weeks) includes $500 scholarship
- Non-CGE Member School Students: $5,290.00 (10 weeks)
- Cost includes tuition, fees, room & board, excursions, and CGE insurance.
SHORT SUMMER SEMESTER (4 weeks or 6 weeks): Students can receive up to 6 credits for 2 Arabic language courses with traditional Arabic for writing and reading and a emphasis on Spoken Arabic. Students will begin with an assessment of Arabic skills if they have had prior Arabic training.
During the summer sessions, each student will be placed in an environment for classroom learning and speaking each day. Students will also learn about local Arabic culture, enjoy several excursions, and meet expatriates who work in the Arab world with a focus on ministries in Jordan. For students interested in refugee work, there will be an introduction to how Jordan is handling the influx of refugees and how local colleagues of CGEJordan are assisting in this international concern.
DATES: Summer 1: May 26 - July 4, 2019; Summer 2: July 7 - August 7, 2019
EXCURSIONS: Visit to historical sites - examples are: the Citadel and Archeological Museum, Wadi Mujib Canyon, Jerash Roman Ruins, or Petra

- CGE Member School Students: $1,916.00 (4 weeks); $2,874.00 (6 weeks)
- Non-CGE Member School Students: $2,416.00 (4 weeks); $3,374.00 (6 weeks)

- Ready to get started? Click HERE to fill out the CGE Jordan Study Abroad Application. Please submit all documentation by April 10th and payment by May 05, 2019.
- If you want credit from Union University and an official transcript that you can use at your home university, you MUST enroll for the Summer Program at Union University and send in a Transcript Application to Union University. Complete the Non-Degree Seeking Enrollment Form and print and send with your payment to the address on the form and request your Transcript from Union Univeristy with this link for processing Transcript Requests. Use the option for "Hold for Grades" and follow the online transcript process. You must be ready with a credit card for payment and know whether your institution wants an email transcript (know the email address) or wants a paper copy (check NO for requesting electronic transcript). You will also provide a signed consent on their online format.
After you complete your CGE Jordan Study Abroad Application (above) and receive your acceptance email, you will receive an email from a CGE Study Abroad representative with a step-by-step checklist of additional documentation required, as well as payment instructions.
