The beautiful country of Greece provides the backdrop for one of CGE’s newly emerging study abroad programs. CGE is proud to partner with the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT), located in the city for which it is named. The program’s signature course is “The Life and Teaching of the Apostle Paul”, and students can participate in summer or semester terms. The program offers an opportunity to live and study in a historic metropolis and includes several excursions to cities rich in Biblical history. Two Campbellsville University students recently returned from participating in the summer program in Thessaloniki. One of the students, Alaina, shares her experience with us:
“To someone considering an opportunity to study abroad - Do it. Everyone needs to leave what they're used to and experience the world from a different perspective at least once in their lifetime. It's worth whatever sacrifice you have to make. You will most certainly come home richer.”

“I really enjoyed getting to see the ancient sites. Many places, events, and people that I have learned about in books came to life in my mind. It is hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that Apostle Paul and Alexander the Great walked some of the same paths I did.”

“What stuck out to me most about the culture in Thessaloniki is how friendly the people are. They will go out of their way and inconvenience themselves to help a stranger. Greece is full of beautiful sights, but the hospitality of its people is what really made this trip."
