Presidents from CGE member schools and universities met at California Baptist University on June 3 to discuss their collected efforts in international education. The talks focused on the international outreach the schools have achieved through programs taking place across the globe and through international students who have come to study at CGE member universities.
CGE member schools have international projects in 83 different countries. Projects include semester long study abroad opportunities, medical and other international service programs, music and drama performance trips, and many other types of experiences that enrich the lives of students and faculty and provide needed assistance to those whom the students serve.
International students at CGE member universities also benefit from the schools’ concern for global education, as they enjoy international student unions, celebrations, and other programs that offer them community and a slice of home while also offering American students an opportunity to engage with their international peers and learn about their cultures. CGE’s 42 member universities host over 3,400 international students from 137 different countries, with efforts being made to reach out to yet more countries in order to attract more students to study in America.
